What can you come to us for in Nijmegen?

• eye health check for complaints such as blurred vision, headaches or flashes of light
• glaucoma screening, also if glaucoma runs in your family
• dry eyes
• diabetic eye examination
• cataract and retina examination
• binocular vision examination and eye test for children from age 8
• CBR eye test for your driving licence, including the Esterman visual field test which we only carry out in Nijmegen
• pre-assessment and follow-up for laser eye surgery or lens replacement (RLE)

Business centre het BCG, Groenestraat 294, 6531 JC Nijmegen. The practice is easy to reach and there is ample parking. Please report to reception when you arrive; the optometrist will collect you there for your appointment.

When are consultation hours?

In Nijmegen we usually hold consultation hours every week on Friday . We work by appointment only; you will hear the time when making the appointment. For the CBR eye test and the Esterman visual field test, other days sometimes apply; we will arrange this with you.

Your GP and Novio Oogzorg

We like to work together with your GP, so please ask for a referral; GPs refer easily via ZorgDomein. After the examination your GP receives a report, so that your care is well coordinated. If specialist care is needed, we refer you to an ophthalmologist.

What should you bring?

Your ID, your glasses or contact lenses and an up-to-date list of your medication. Do you have a referral from your GP? Please bring it.

Please note: you may be given eye drops. During this examination we may dilate your pupils with eye drops. Your vision will then be blurred for a few hours and you will be sensitive to light. You may not drive back yourself: arrange transport or come with someone who can drive for you. Bring sunglasses.
